NTMEA is a student-led organization that provides music education majors the opportunity to connect with their peers and with valued members of the community through volunteer organizations and TMEA-style clinics. NTMEA members provide the community with wonderful service events such as instrument petting zoos at local libraries and elementary schools. Young children are introduced to the instruments of the orchestra and given the opportunity to try out these instruments at the interactive and fun petting zoos. NTMEA meetings involve local music education experts speaking to their areas of interest in lecture or panel style settings, and often include student-led discussions on rising new music education topics.
