George H. Springer Endowed Music Education Scholarship Senior level student Purpose: To honor the life and service of Mr. Springer to his family, his colleagues, his country and his devotion to music and to Music Education by recognizing outstanding students majoring in Music Education during the senior year of study.

Robert R. Gans Memorial Music Education Scholarship Junior/Senior or Graduate student specializing in Instrumental Studies Purpose: To honor the life of Robert R. Gans, a distinguished music educator and band director by assisting talented students who demonstrate great potential as music educators.

The Harriett and Jay Armstrong Music Education Scholarship Undergraduate or Graduate student: preference to Sigma Alpha Iota or Phi Mu Alpha members Purpose: To provide financial support to students majoring in Music Education with a career plan for teaching.

Deborah Johnson Miller Memorial Scholarship Undergraduate Music Education majors with a concentration in voice Purpose: To recognize the scholarship and contributions made to the College of Music by Deborah Johnson Miller while earning the Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Education with a Vocal Concentration and the Master of Music Education Degree.

David C. and Katherine Isley McGuire Graduate Music Education Scholarship Graduate student Purpose: To provide financial assistance to students who come to a graduate Music Education program with a documented record of excellence in music teaching and a clear commitment to leadership role in the Music Education profession.

Music Education Early Childhood Scholarship Undergraduate or Graduate Music Education majors with an interest in Early Childhood Music Education Purpose: To gain practical teaching experiences in an early childhood music setting and to develop a deeper understanding of children’s musical development.

The Hard Rock Café Instrumental Music Education Scholarship Undergraduate or Graduate music education student with a specialization in Instrumental Music Education Purpose: To further the profession of Instrumental Music Education by recognizing students whose chosen career pursuit is instrumental music.
